The yen took a nosedive to a four-month low following the Bank of Japan's groundbreaking decision to end its negative interest rate policy. Meanwhile, the dollar gained strength ahead of the Federal Reserve's upcoming outlook on rates.

💰 Bitcoin's Rollercoaster Ride

Bitcoin faced a significant setback, tumbling by as much as 6.5% in its largest one-day drop in two weeks. This sell-off wave also affected other risk assets like stocks. Bitcoin experienced a dip to a two-week low of $62,966, with ether also dropping by 6.39% to $3,283. However, Bitcoin still maintains a 52% gain for the year, with investors flocking to U.S. exchange-traded funds supported by spot bitcoin.

🍦 Unilever's Bold Move

Unilever announced its decision to spin off its ice cream unit, housing popular brands such as Magnum and Ben & Jerry's, alongside slashing 7,500 jobs as part of a new cost-saving initiative. This strategic move was well-received by investors, driving Unilever's shares up by nearly 6% at one point.

🚀 Nvidia's Ascent: 

Nvidia's stock soared after the chip giant unveiled its new flagship AI processor, expected to ship later this year. CEO Jensen Huang's ambitious pursuit of a data center market potentially exceeding $250 billion fueled investor optimism. Following discussions with investors at the company's annual developer conference, Nvidia's stock surged by nearly 2% to $900.

⛽️ Oil Prices on the Rise:

Crude oil futures continued their upward trajectory for the second consecutive session amidst concerns over tightening supplies. Recent attacks by Ukraine on Russian refineries could disrupt global petroleum supplies, potentially reducing global petroleum supplies by approximately 350K barrels per day and driving up U.S. crude prices by $3 per barrel. OPEC's supply cuts and Iraq's commitment to honoring its output cuts further contributed to bolstering prices.

🏘️ Watten House Wows with Quick Sales! 🎉

Exciting news from Watten House! Since its official launch on March 2, a whopping 74% of the available units have been claimed by savvy buyers. That's 133 out of 180 units sold in just two weeks! 🎉

Here's what's buzzing:

• Launch Frenzy: The launch followed a private preview last November, which already saw 102 units disappearing fast.

• Prestige and Luxury: Almost all the penthouses are sold, with 7 out of 8 fetching prices between $11.7 million and $14.5 million. That translates to an eye-watering $3,440 to $3,550 per sq ft!

• Family Favorites: The four- and five-bedroom units are in high demand, with over 80% sold. And, all the three-bedroom units (without private lifts) are completely sold out.

• A Mix for Everyone: Still up for grabs are three-bedroom-plus-study units and five-bedroom units with private lifts, offering space and luxury.

The average price so far? A cool $3,250 per sq ft.

Who's buying? A proud 95% of the buyers are Singaporeans and permanent residents, drawn by Watten House's allure and the promise of a prestigious lifestyle. The foreign buyers, mainly from the US and Switzerland, enjoy favorable tax treatment thanks to free trade agreements.

However, a little word of caution for those eyeing smaller unit there: buyers in the Core Central Region (CCR) tend to prefer more room to breathe. Smaller units might not be everyone's cup of tea in these upscale areas. 😅

🏠 Lentor Mansion's Launch Success 🌟

In just two days, from March 15th to 16th, we've seen an incredible 75% of the units fly off the shelves—that's 400 out of 533 units snapped up by eager buyers! 🚀

Here's a quick breakdown of what's happening:

• VIP Launch Success: Nearly 100 units were claimed right at the VIP launch on March 15th. Talk about making an entrance!

• Unit Variety: From cozy two-bedders to spacious five-bedroom units, spread across three 16-storey towers and three 8-storey towers, there's something for everyone.

• Price Range: The units sold ranged from $1.149 million for a chic 527 sq ft two-bedroom unit, up to $3.512 million for a luxurious 1,507 sq ft five-bedroom apartment.

• Popularity Contest: All 214 two-bedroom units were sold out, making them the stars of the launch. The three-bedroom units weren't far behind, with 84% (167 out of 199) getting snapped up. Four and five-bedroom units also saw solid interest.

• New URA Guidelines: Thanks to new guidelines focusing on liveable space, buyers now enjoy more transparent pricing, with units sold at $2,104 to $2,478 per sq ft.

And who's buying? A whopping 99% of the buyers are Singaporeans and permanent residents, drawn by the development's efficient layouts and flexible living spaces. Plus, the integrated childcare centre is a hit with young families!
