How I’m Preparing for 2025 as an Investor

Are you prepared for 2025?

As we approach the end of the year, now’s the perfect time to start planning for 2025.

In the last segment of the 2024 final Invest with Pete livestream, I shared exactly how I’m getting ready for the year ahead as an investor. Here’s a quick recap of the key steps:

1️⃣ Reduce Your Taxes

One of the smartest moves I make every year is contributing to my SRS (Supplementary Retirement Scheme). It’s a great way to save on taxes while building up retirement funds.

2️⃣ Submit Your W8BEN Form

If you invest in U.S. stocks, don’t overlook this important step! Submitting your W8BEN form ensures you can continue investing in U.S. shares without unnecessary tax withholdings.

Pro Tip: Remember, you’ll need to submit a separate W8BEN form for each broker you use.

3️⃣ Update Your Will and Trust

As your assets grow, your will and trust should evolve too. Each year, I review and update mine to ensure my family avoids unnecessary disputes and inherits assets smoothly.

4️⃣ Set Goals for 2025

Setting effective goals has been a game-changer for me. Four years ago, I switched to a new method that has drastically improved how I achieve my objectives.

By taking these steps, I’m not just preparing for the year ahead—I’m setting the foundation for long-term success. If you haven’t started planning for 2025 yet, now’s the time to begin.

Here’s to a prosperous year ahead! 🚀
