Why the Market Dropped Yesterday
(and My Game Plan From Here)
You might be wondering…
Why did the market drop yesterday despite no major bad news?
📉 The culprit? US jobless claims came in much lower than expected

Source: CNBC
That’s usually a good thing, right? More people working, strong economy…
But the market saw it differently.
When unemployment is low, it signals the economy is still running hot.
Which means — the Fed might delay interest rate cuts or cut less than what traders had hoped.
So once again, it’s one of those “good news is bad news” moments.
My take as a long-term investor
Honestly, I’d still rather see low unemployment.
Why? Because more people working = more retail spending = stronger corporate earnings 📈
And over the long run, earnings drive stock prices — not headlines
This is the kind of environment where staying focused and having a clear plan matters more than ever
