Why you should do less

I had a great question from a member yesterday: "Pete, if these trades are so profitable, why don't we just do more of them? Why not trade every day?"
It is a fair question, but in the markets, the logic is actually the OPPOSITE. SMG is profitable specifically because we do not over-trade.
Here is the truth: A lot of traders confuse "activity" with "progress." They feel like they aren't working if they aren't clicking "buy" or "sell."
But over the years, I have learned that the best investors do 90% of their work before the trade ever happens.
Think of it like sailing. A skilled sailor doesn't get ahead by frantically paddling. He spends his time doing the "homework": checking the weather, studying the charts, and building a high-quality sail. Once the sail is set, he simply lets the wind carry the boat.
In SMG, we do the same:
🧑🎓 We do the heavy research (the homework).
⚾ We wait for a "fat pitch" setup.
⛵ We set our "sail" (the trade) and let the market do the heavy lifting.
We don't cut winners early out of boredom, and we only exit if our stop-loss is triggered. If you want to build real wealth, you have to learn to sit on your hands and let your high-conviction ideas run.
Let’s keep sailing toward those 2026 goals. 🥂
